What do people say about El Paso Holocaust Museum & Study Center, Texas 79902?
- A silent place to both learn about the Holocaust and respect those who died in WWll. Very insightful, and I would highly recommend coming here if you want to see artifacts from the Holocaust and discover more.
- An important piece of history that should not be forgotten or swept under the rug. There is no nice way to recount the atrocities that occurred during this time period, but this museum definitely gets right to the point. It’s quite surreal and makes you think and reflect on the terrible journey many experienced. The difficult subject matter might not be easily digested by all, and you will definitely come out quite somber.
- Wonderful museum with real artifacts. Well done video tour and timeliness as one walks through the Holocaust from beginning to end. Includes interactive exhibits as well. The museum is free and accepts donations. They have a good bookstore and gift shop as well.
- Absolutely breathtaking and a must-see! When you arrive, expect to receive the kindest greeting. After signing in and getting a short description of the self-guided tour, you are on your way. Stepping through the double doors, you are whisked back in time to pre-World War II. Travel in the footsteps of the German Jewish community. It is free to enter and tour, but please donate to the museum since this is mainly funded by donations.
- The museum presents this tragedy in an excellent manner, with both chronological and clear visual representations of the Holocaust. It also ties in survivors who came to El Paso, the soldiers from El Paso who found the survivors, and those who didn’t survive. A must-see so that this kind of inhumanity remains a thing of the past.
