What do people say about Hermann Park in Houston, Texas 77030?

  • Absolutely beautiful! Hermann Park is a treasure full of gorgeous, lush, extremely old trees, green space, water fountains, and picnic tables hidden right in the middle of this busy city. It’s located within walking distance of the medical center, the museum district, the zoo, and the Miller Outdoor Theater, and it’s not far from downtown.
  • Huge park… I walked around most of it. Went through the Japanese garden. It was nice. There was a big reflection pool with a pond at the end where you could rent pedal boats. I didn’t go there, although I saw it. Also, there is a children’s train that goes along the outer perimeter but I’m not sure where to buy tickets for. Plus, it’s next to the Museum of Natural Science. So plan it right and kill two things on the same day.
  • It was great. The park was well-maintained, very clean, and had awesome walking paths. I specifically went to the Japanese gardens. However, there are many pools and fountains throughout the park. As I walked through the park, many shared my opinion, as they used it as a place to recharge by having picnics and just chilling with their kids. There is also the option of using little pedal-driven boats to sail around the lake.
  • Beautiful park with lots of trees, walking paths, shade, benches, and water features such as a reflection pool, pond, fountains, and waterfalls. We went after 7 p.m., and the weather was balmy and breezy. The Sam Houston statue and small obelisk at the end of the reflection pool gave off a DC vibe. I enjoyed seeing all the ducks, turtles, squirrels, and other aquatic birds.
