What do people say about Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens in El Paso, Texas 79968?
- My girls and I loved the current exhibits on migrants, border history related to migration, and civil engineering. It was our first visit, but we are planning to visit again! I love that our city offers free cultural options like this. They also have designated parking right in front of the museum; you just have to go inside the office for a pass. We also enjoyed a peaceful walk around the Chihuahuan Desert Gardens and then headed to the UTEP library for a quick visit. The exhibits were very educational and visually pleasing.
- If you haven’t visited this gem, or even if you have, it’s worth a visit. I love meandering through the gardens outside. They are so well maintained and thought out. The plants and trees are marked with their names. The inside is just as interesting, and they usually have a different exhibition on the first floor. The rest of the exhibits deal with El Paso’s wonderful history.
- It’s very relaxing here in the garden. The kids enjoy being here, and there’s much to see. The garden encircles the museum, which is also very interesting and something I would recommend to all. Check out the garden and the museum.
- This museum is inside UTEP and has various exhibitions, starting from the foundation of Texas all the way to some graduates’ works.
- We visited the museum as part of our homeschooling. I wanted to take them, as Dr. Green mostly took my kids to Peter Piper for their field trips. Not very educational. This was a great experience, and I recommend it to families looking to educate their children on the history of this beautiful area. I love the exhibits and displays that offer such great insight into the history, culture, and native plants.
