Sam Gould established a small hair salon in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1932. His goal was to provide his clients with a truly unique and professional fashion experience. Sam envisioned a sophisticated, upscale atmosphere, which was a Hollywood luxury at the time.

Sam’s vision was realized through his salons, and his name became a Memphis trademark. Gould’s evolved and grew, adding locations throughout the Greater Memphis area, and was eventually passed on to his sons Philip and David, who continue his commitment to providing a one-of-a-kind fashion experience.

In 1998, Gould’s opened its first Spa, extending services from hair care to body care. Each Gould’s Salon Spa location offers a comprehensive menu of body treatments, massages, facials, nail care, and Medi-Spa services.

Gould’s has the distinction of being the oldest multi-location Salon Spa in the industry, nearly a century after the first salon opened its doors. They employ and serve over 300 people between Gould’s Salon Spa locations and Luxe Salon Suites, and through Gould’s Academy, they educate and inspire the next generation.

• It’s great to go to Gould’s Salon Spa – Downtown. Happy and inviting. Lina knows how to style and color hair well. Always a good outcome. The pink shades we were going for in September did not work with my weird hair. The staff works well together, as 2 other colorists jumped in to look over and help, and Lina made sure that my hair was colored beautifully before I left. We strongly suggest Gould’s Salon Spa – Downtown.
